Frequently Asked Questions
Most guests spend about an hour to an hour and a half enjoying the farm tour, wandering the flower fields, cutting stems, and arranging their bouquet.
Some guests like to head straight into the fields, pick their flowers, and finish their bouquet in about an hour. Others prefer to linger for two to three hours — taking in the beauty of the fields, enjoying time with their party, visiting with our farm staff, and soaking up the wonder of the farm.
You are welcome to move at your own pace and make the experience your own.
Yes, there are wheelchair accessible restrooms conveniently located on the farm property.
Even though we rarely get above 70 degrees in the summer, the direct sun can be hot!
Be prepared with layers. In the sun, a short sleeve shirt and jeans is perfect. But if an afternoon fog rolls in, it will be chilly and you'll want that sweatshirt.
And, with the terrain on the farm, you'll want closed-toe shoes. It is definitely not the day for flip-flops or sandals!
We love welcoming little ones to the farm! As a family farm ourselves, there's nothing we enjoy more than watching children discover the wonders of nature up close.
To keep everyone safe and the experience enjoyable for all, we do ask that children remain with a supervising adult at all times, stay on designated paths, and keep a safe distance from farm equipment and working areas. Our farm is a busy, active place, and these simple guidelines help ensure every visit is a happy and safe one.
Our farm is a full-time functioning farm with many potential hazards, including uneven terrain, potential tripping hazards, farm equipment, and natural obstacles.
Be careful as you walk, especially with snips (keep them pointed to the ground). And stay clear of our farm equipment!
Visitors participate in u-pick activities and tour the farm at their own risk. The farm is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or losses that may occur during your visit. By entering the farm premises, visitors agree to waive any claims against the farm and its owners.
Bees are an essential part of the farm’s ecosystem and contribute to pollination.
As a regenerative farm, we take steps to encourage populations of native bees and other pollinators, and we also maintain our own beehives up the hill from where our U-Pick field is located.
Generally speaking, the bees keep to themselves; we have only had one or two bee stings in the last three years.
If you or anyone in your party is allergic to bee stings, please come prepared with any medications (e.g., epinephrine) as a precautionary measure.
Wearing long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes can help minimize the risk of bee stings.
You will have full access to our U-Pick field, which contains a variety of annual flowers and greenery, but unfortunately our dahlia field is not open for U-Picks.
We have strict harvesting protocols to keep our dahlias healthy and virus free (see our dahlia policies).
Feel free to walk our dahlia fields, but please do not harvest any dahlias. We will have a large selection of dahlias already harvested for you to choose from.
We do not offer refunds for cancellations. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to another individual.
After you purchase your reservation through our online store, you will receive emails from us. There will be a link you may click to view your order information and alter the name and email address on the order if you wish to transfer your admission to someone else.
Our U-pick sessions operate rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather conditions that may endanger visitors or the condition of our flower fields.
In the event of severe weather, the farm reserves the right to close or suspend operations temporarily for safety reasons.
Absolutely! Personal photography for non-commercial use is permitted. Feel free to take photos in the u-pick field and in our dahlia fields.
Please tag @earthspokefarms in your social media posts!
We do, however, charge for commercial or professional photography. We ask that you make prior arrangements in advance for any commercial or professional photography sessions.
To ensure everyone has a wonderful experience and to maintain an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere, we've capped entry numbers.
Pre-order your ticket to reserve your spot.
Walk-ins will be welcomed if we have room!
Only service animals are allowed at the farm. This is for the protection of our plants, livestock guardian dogs and other animals, and customers.
We do have accessible bathrooms, and we use wood-chipped paths to help guests move from field to field.
That said, we are a working farm, and the U-Pick fields include uneven ground, natural slopes, soft soil, and flower rows that are spaced too closely for wheelchair access within the rows themselves.
If you or someone in your party has specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance. We would be happy to talk through the layout, parking, paths, bathrooms, and possible accommodations so you can decide what will work best for your visit.
During our Spring 2027 dahlia tuber sale, EarthSpoke Farms will email you a coupon code.
Visit the EarthSpoke website (earthspokefarms.com) and navigate to the dahlia tuber collection. Add the "farmer's choice" tuber product to your cart.
When you check out, input the coupon code. It will remove the charge for the "farmer's choice" tuber and the flat rate shipping cost.
Of course, we welcome you to add other paid tubers to your order before completing checkout.
A "farmer's choice" tuber, by definition, is a dahlia tuber that the farm team selects from our abundant inventory. It could be any tuber from our catalog of 300+ cultivars. We will clearly write the cultivar name on your packing slip so you may identify what you received.
